There was a task at work to arrange a timer for the QUIZ, the timer on the questions. Saw the two Issue on this topic. But how much I understood, no one did. Sketched a small version. I will be glad your suggestions.

The change is currently missing an automated test that fails when run with the original code, and succeeds when the bug has been fixed.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
With D7 EOL soon, I'm triaging the remaining D7 queue for quiz and with such a large feature request not sure it'll be able to make it and I'd be worried about introducing more issues for something that's relatively shutting down.
