The /verify
page is not very helpful for a user who happens to find it. Apparently, the design was based on the expectation that a user gets to that page from the /user/{uid}/edit
page after adding a phone number. However, in the case of a new user registration the user is still anonymous and therefore is denied access to this page (even if access is permitted for anonymous users, there is no way of knowing which user's number is being verified).
So it is not clear to a newly registered user that they have to login first and then go to /verify
to complete the verification process. Even if the user is able get to that page, there is no additional instruction in case they didn't receive the verification code, or they want to change the phone number.
