Whitelisting IPs with drush

I know that if an admin blocked it's possible to add `$conf['restrict_ip_enable'] = FALSE;` to settings.php to re-gain the access. However, it would be very nice for admin to be able to regularly whitelist IP addresses (for his team changing members, for example) directly from CLI. Would be wonderful if module provided such an option to drush.

I wanted to use drush sql-query feature, however the modules seems to be saving ip addresses in the 'variable ' as blob, which makes it difficult to modify from CLI with drush.
