There are two issues.
Prevent editing events via drag-and-drop Views Checkbox actually did the opposite action. Checking Prevent was allowing editing.editable configurations useless.Since, the edit-ability is not customizable by entity, I have taken out that part of the code. Also, I just relabeled the views config field so it makes more sense.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
I don't even see this option in the current release anymore. Tried to work my way around the issue with external js but that didn't seem to do it.
The current release is a different branch entirely.
It'd probably make sense to add a feature request for the 3.x branch.
