Can't filter out Words that contain unicode characters

This is really a helpful module! While researching how to make it work, I noticed English word replacement works perfectly, but for Chinese, looks like the pattern doesn't get recognized at all. Here is my config,

Then when I applied these to the node default comment, it works like this:

The 'xxx' is caught and replaced, while '过滀' is kind of missing...

Does anyone hit similar issue as well? Or is it something wrong in my configuration? It would be really helpful if someone could help on this, thank you so much!
