Drupal 7 has come to end of life and I haven't worked with Drupal 7 in many years so I'm marking this as won't fix.
On the module config page:
XML Sitemap You can configure the XML Sitemap settings at the XML Sitemap configuration page.
Configure Metatag default templates You can configure and override the Metatag title & description default settings at the Metatag configuration page.
