I have installed the s3fs module to be able to upload to amazon S3 the images used on my website but from time to time it mess up my CSS and my pages will look weird, the admin menu will take the most oft the height of the page, does not load/populate some component of the page like the (ckeditor become a plain text editor), auto complete does not work, ...
I usually fix it by refreshing the file metadata cache going here : mysite.com/admin/config/media/s3fs/actions.

I could not find a way of preventing this nor find its cause.

Anybody has an idea of how to prevent it from happening? or automate of the refreshing?

Thanks

    Drupal 7 end-of-life triage:
Drupal 7 will reach end of life on January 5th.

The 7.x branches of S3FS do not have any additional planned releases.

Latest Drupal 10/11 releases no longer store CSS/JS in the public:// streamWrapper and instead use a new assets:// wrapper.
