There is a D7 Magento migrate module: https://www.drupal.org/project/commerce_migrate_magento → . It'd be worth migrating anything worthwhile into here as plugins of the root module.
I think there's a demo install of Magento which could be used to generate a test fixture. using a non Drupal test source doesn't work within the existing test environment.
While it look like commerce_migrate_magento is for Magento 1 sources, it may still be useful as a start for Magento 2.
