@chi Do you plan to update your module, or maybe you've renamed it and continued the development with another name?
I have created a module called Extension configuration which does mostly the same work as this module but in slightly different way. Given that Configuration development is not much maintained we may consider merging these projects.
Differences from Config development module:
Anyway, feel free to take any code from there.
