I have a working version with minimakl features complete .I'm guessing the D8 version does not appear as an available version until there's been a release, but you'll see 8.x=1.x as an available branch, and I also have it in sandbox here: https://www.drupal.org/sandbox/bnjmnm/2872204 →

Hope to have a beta release in a week or two.
