You can find a new patch attached which is compatible with the latest version of Views Infinite Scroll.

FWIW The patch in #4 did not work when tested on 2.0.3.

I did eventually find that https://www.drupal.org/project/views_ajax_history → was able to solve for the use case here. With that you can toggle a setting under Ajax in Views and see page parameters display in the URL.
