SignatureField not working on touchscreen or mobile device

In using this module with the latest javascript version of the signaturefield ajax plugin, mobile devices and touch screens cannot sign the signaturefield. In testing, I have only been able to successfully sign a form using a desktop or laptop or a device with a dedicated mouse.

I am using the field as a fieldapi field in a standard entity. (Entity Types>Entity Name>Bundle>Manage Fields). The field works whenever a mouse is used, but if you use a mobile device such as a tablet or smartphone (and use your finger), or any touchscreen device, the signaturefield does not populate or register your finger.
