When using multiple display modes of the entity you might want to show different information of an address.
Currently, address fields can be configured per field in the field settings making this impossible.

The visible fields are already dictated by two places: the address format, and the setting on the field itself.
So I am reluctant to add a third. Especially since https://www.drupal.org/project/address_display → already exists in contrib. Let's test and promote that module instead.
