Question is, should this functionality be here as well...
Very quick rough patch, feel free to go over there and review.. could do a similar one or take a new approach over here..

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
I agree, either that or just create a separate purger per host manually, no? Sounds like a quite specific use case. If you had for example multiple instances running on the same host but on different ports that situation wouldn't even be covered by this patch.
If more people could use this feature, feel free let me know in the comments or to open a new issue. For now I'm going to close.
