I am in the situation, where I have to manipulate the excel object after it's been build, but before it's saved to the file system.

The problem is independent from the PHPExcel module itself, but to give some context: I am adding an image to A1 of each worksheet in the created excel document. All columns have autosize enabled and that screws my image dimensions. So, in order to fix this problem in my project, the (by far) easiest way would be to add another hook invocation to the end of _phpexcel_set_columns().
