LetsEncrypt has made enabling ssl on drupal sites a snap but Moon Phases connects to weather.gov and to earthsky.org over unencrypted http.
I enabled https locally by editing moon_phases.module and moon_phases.admin.inc and replacing http with https.
Both of those sites respond over https as well as http so there should be no risk in enabling https.
I've attached a patch file.
