I am also looking for a simple example of migrating a menu, allowing defining parent menus. For example:
- Africa
-
- Benin
- togo
- Europe
-
- Liechtenstein
- Monaco
I've searched and read what i could about Drupal Migration, but i'm feeling like the latest documentation assume that we've been following migration since the beginning. For me, this is my beginning. I'm setting up several installs of D8 on a Windows server and testing different themes/modules/etc. on each. And this is ALL new to me.
What i need is to be able to export/import (migrate?) menus and content from one to the others so i don't have to re-create everything. It "seems" like migration is what i am looking for, but i can't find a clear, concise example of how i would do this for a menu.
Coming from Magento, i am very comfortable working directly with the database and with Magento's own import/export process. Can someone give me a push in the right direction? Or... would this be easier to export directly from the db? I fear that menu components might be all over the place (haven't even looked yet).
Thank you all,
Fixed
