Upgrade - field_data_commerce_discount_date already exists

When I upgrade from 7.x-1.0-alpha7 to 7.x-1.0-alpha8, I get a database error when running the following database updates:

commerce_discount module :
7110 - Enable and update usage and date sub-modules into discount core.

Table field_data_commerce_discount_date already exists. [error]
Performed update: commerce_discount_update_7110 [ok]

field_data_commerce_discount_date already exists. in

I can just delete the table and run the update as the table is empty in my database, just wondering if anybody else had this issue!
