PHP notice when "List" is used as formatter option for field

Testing latest dev on D8.1.8 generated PHP notices in logs:

Tested with core text list field. Module generate "List" formatter option for this kind of field, but it does not generate any list.

Regarding Term reference fields... module does not generate "List" formatter option for this kind of field.
