Export form configuration with features works every other time

In the Features menu - Recreate,
I can check the forms I want to export, then create the feature. I can see the forms in the features files.

Then in the Main features menu tab 'Manage', my feature is in the state 'default' (as expected)
and inside the feature in the tab 'View' the forms are also in the state 'default' (as expected)
but in the feature tab 'review overrides', instead of the expected message 'No changes have been made to this feature.' there is an 'overrides' view, without the selected forms
and if I 'recreate' the feature with the checked forms, the forms are removed from the features files.

If I recreate the feature again, I get the forms in the features, then I don't, then I do, ... you get the pattern !
