Selection of disabled products in orders admin ui

My situation is:

I go to create an Order using Drupal's admin. I go to add a Product line item to the order, and all of my disabled products appear in the autocomplete list. I am able to select a disabled product and add it to the order.

I know there's a similar issue here: #2308363: Product reference autocomplete includes disabled items → However I wonder if we could add an option to not display disabled products just in the admin order UI, so that disabled products do not get added to orders by accident?
