Same idea as #3248042: Add XML Lint to check the WordPress exports → consolidating there. Still got edge cases!
Although the first draft of the D8 wordpress_migrate module seems to work fine for simple blogs using the unaltered XML file, in D7 we found many edge cases which required doing some rewriting of the XML on initial upload. We need to revisit that work, determine what rewrites are still necessary, and implement them for D8.
