Unclear how to access/modify the view

Following the guidelines at the project page of this module, I get stuck at this line:

3. then at format summary area, you will see "Embed View: field_collection_view, default", Yes ,this module using views_embed_view function,That mean you need config the name and display id of the view you want to use.

With 'format summery area' you mean the javascript button with the Format settings: Table of field collection items ?
In those settings, I don't see any view configuration options.

In the field settings no view configuration is shown either, and in the views UI list, no view 'field_collection_view' is visible.
