But I guess, I'm running into similar problems, maybe this is even a child issue.
Using an existing view or a static resource works well, but I have trouble to get the Callback URL going.
I have two sites, "d7-test" and "d7-test2" running on localhost.
I want to achieve that visitors can use an input-field on "d7-test" to search for nodes on "d7-test2".
I've installed the module on both sites and entered "http://localhost/d7-test/nodes-autocomplete/" as Callback URL.
The result is an endless spinning blue circle like in

I'm pretty sure, I'm using the Callback URL in wrong way,
but I couldn't figure it out for myself reading the documentation.
Do I have to link to a php-file that contains the JSON-code of the relating view?
If so, how do I translate JSON to PHP?
