Are you sure the plugin is working ?
I try to use it with a drupal 8.0.5 in french (I have try it in english too). When I use the module with pathauto and transliterate checked for the filemane, the file is processed corretly. When I go to the page with a style applied on my picture, the image is not generated by drupal.
An example :
I try to upload a file named : "très beau tigre.jpg". When i save the article, the file is correctly renamed in "tres-beau-tigre.jpg". When I try to view my page with this image and a style applied to this image, Drupal does not convert the image. But if I display my page with my image in original format, the image is showing.
