How to modify default path for site in a subdirectory

The module is installed, authenticated, and working correctly. However it does not display counts on nodes because Drupal is installed in a subdirectory, eg: at website.org/blog rather than website.org. Google Analytics thinks the node's path is blog/name-of-post but Drupal thinks the path is name-of-post so it is not connecting the data with the correct node ID.

I need to alter the module to add blog/ to the path it evaluates, but I'm not sure how. I would really appreciate suggestions on the best way to implement this change. I'm also open to alternate theories about what might be wrong and how to fix it accordingly. Thanks!

Because of the Universal Analytics shutdown, version 7.x-3.x is no longer supported.
As Drupal 7 EOL is close, please consider upgrading to the latest Drupal and latest version of this module with Google Analytics 4 support.
If you are still here and experiencing problems with the latest version using GA4, then please open an issue about it.
