Custom format for better internationalization

Hi! Thank you for this short sweet module!
Unfortunately I had to hack it though because the English internationalization style doesn't carry over to Dutch also the customer wants to display multiples as an abbreviation "9 min.".
In order to best support this use case I think being able to set a custom format would be best.
