Wrongly translated strings

Created on 10 March 2016, about 9 years ago

The module is currently defining different title plural and title singular strings in ultimate_cron_ctools_plugin_type.
However, the result of hook_ctools_plugin_type is being cached and can lead to wrong translations on multilanguage sites.

This behavior can be reproduced as followed:

  1. Translate some of the used strings to a language (for example "Scheduler")
  2. Clear the drupal cache while being on a page in that language
  3. Open /admin/config/system/cron/jobs/list/ANY_CRONJOB/edit in English

Then you should see something like:

The labels are showing the German translations, even when accessing the page in English or any other language.
This is because the translated t() strings are being cached.

The solution would be to cache the keys instead of the translated strings.
I've fixed this bug and will attach a patch in the comments below.

I'm closing this since Drupal 7 is now unsupported and there will be no more development on the Drupal 7 branch of Ultimate Cron either.

Thank you for taking the time and effort in reporting this issue, even though it never got resolved.
