Failed after trying to encrypt first field

Problem/Motivation

Trying to encrypt some user fields on a current project. Installed Encrypt module, then this module. Opened a user field properties page, checked "encrypt this field" and saved field properties. The next page displayed hundreds of the following warning:
Notice: Undefined index: value in InsertQuery->values() (line 564 of .../includes/database/query.inc).

Went to database and saw that the corresponding table was empty, and the site then displayed the errors expected when a table is empty. Had to restore database from backup taken immediately before trying this module.

I didn't have time to investigate the code, but wanted to report it in case it helps the developer(s).
