Allow Admin to edit User Name?

I find this module tremendously helpful for maintaining consistent usernames. However, users being the way they are, they sometimes enter more information in the name fields than they should, or they enter incorrect information, thus generating usernames that don't fit the desired format.

For example, our usernames are formatted as Firstname_Lastname based on Drupal fields. But if the person enters their full name in one of the fields, we will get a username like FirstName_LastName_LastName.

In these and similar cases, it would be helpful for the Admin to be able to edit the username directly to correct the mistake. Right now we have to turn on "Update on User Edit", make the changes, then turn it off again.

Is there any easy way to make the user name directly editable by the Admin?
