📣 Drupal 7 has officially reached it's EOL in January 2025, we are closing this issue accordingly
Field tokens can be nested, which means with a multi-valued field, each item can have its link use values from the linked entity. (Though this is currently broken: 🐛 tokens array is in the wrong order, field-item tokens don't get replaced Closed: won't fix ).
This really handy feature is only discoverable if you read the code! It should be in the README, and possibly also in the UI.
