Can AEL detect when a token has no data and not print the token data in the title?

I have used auto_nodetitle module many times and always have the problem that when I want to have variation in a CT such as:

Content type of: "Animal"
Variation that offers conditional fields on node form: "Dog" w/conditional field(Breed of Dog list) vs. "Cat" w/conditional field list(Breed of cat)
Token results in titles that read eg.

Cat-[node:field-dog-breed]-Abyssinian-fluffy-Wed, 04/08/2015 - 17:05
or Dog-Labrador-[node:field-cat-breed]-Rover-Wed, 04/08/2015 - 17:05

I need the token to be ignored if there is no field data provided for a result of

Cat-Abyssinian-fluffy-Wed, 04/08/2015 - 17:05
or Dog-Labrador-Rover-Wed, 04/08/2015 - 17:05

Does Auto Entity Label ignore tokens with missing field data? If not can this be a feature request? Thank you.
