The Drupal 7 release of this module and Drupal 7 itself are unsupported. It seems to have been fixed on the latest release of the module.
In people account settings I have set up a field as Select list with number of values set to 1 and default value set to none.
Users with roles set to be required will be presented with a select list that incorrectly displays a preselected value. The correct behavior would be to show - select a value -, just as you can see it when the field is set to the global option Required field.
