In the old version there was a field called machine_name, this field seems to be not used anymore in the new version. But I think you forgot to delete the field with a update hook.
If u make a new custom breadcrumb you get the error "General error: 1364 Field 'machine_name' doesn't have a default value". This problem will only happen for old versions that got updated. Clean install of the module wont have a problem.
Why are there update hooks in the 6xxx? in the D7 code base? There are also params missing for function in the 6xxx update hooks.
