first off: thanks for this great module!
But I detected two problems with your module. I wanted to use IPInfoDB to get user's location.
I tried to use version 2, but I couldn't get the location of the user. drupal_http_request() in line 566 of smart_ip.module just returned a 'request timed out'. I guess version 2 is some kind of deprecated by IPInfoDB. Can you check that?
The other problem is, that when I change the version of IPInfoDB and submit the form, I get a message "Using actual IP: ..." with my country, region, town and so on. But this message is build with the version, which was set before. That means, if I change the version from 3 to 2, then the message will be calculated with version 3 and vice versa. In the case, that version 2 does not work as described above, it is very mistakable, because I always thought, that version 2 is the working version.
Now I know to handle this, but I think it would be nice to change it for other newbies.
