[message:user] tokens showing author instead of recipient info

In the message type that I created, I'm including the tokens [message:user:name], and [message:user:uid] to display the recipient information, and a message such as "hello [message:user:name],..."

When an email is sent without message digest, those tokens are correctly converted into the recipient info. However, when using message digest (digest_day notifier, for example), those tokens are converted into the author information. That is, the author of the post that triggered the creation of the message.

Any help would be appreciated.
