During an initial install of Drupal 8, the "Set up database" page defaults to the hostname "localhost". For me, this did not work. To help novices, can we not automatically try other hostnames, before failing. eg.
If all these fail, it would also be worth suggesting that the admin contact their web host for help, requesting their database hostname.
