Colorbox link in Carousel mode

It seems to me that it would make sense to add options to replace the normal image displays with a plain jane Carousel and change the click action on the thumbnails in the Carousel to open a colorbox rather than forcing the user to go through TWO clicks before being able to view the full size image. Currently the click action does NOT open a colorbox. Instead it simply changes the image above or below the Carousel. This to me is non-user friendly for pretty much every use case where this module might be useful. At least in my case it has been anyway. I've had to modify the source every single time to get this effect and it's growing tiresome to have to do this. It's nice to be able to create a Carousel without having to modify any template files. There are a gazillion ways to add a Carousel, and this module is positioned to be the easiest method to do so if it's modified to do so.
