The https://www.drupal.org/project/views_timelinejs → module works really well for Horizontal timelines in modern Drupal.
Since these two modules compliment each other (TimelineJS3 does not support vertical scroll) perhaps it can be mentioned on the project page? (suggested addition in italics)
The Simple Timeline module allows the rendering of entities selected by a view on a simple vertical timeline. See Views TimelineJS → for Horizontal timeline.
