Validate tokens

The token module provides a function token_element_validate which can be used to validate all tokens entered by the user. We should think about using it for the "pattern" textarea on settings pages.

This would provide direct feedback to the user about whether tokens use the correct syntax and can be expected to work. Unfortunately, this would most likely also prevent the usage of square brackets which are not part of a token; not sure whether this is acceptable?
