I was trying to showcase the module with both coworkers and clients and no one could understand right away how to use this module. after some thinking I had to agree that the buttons and the lack of visual instructions make it hard to understand and confusing.
Tweak button placement and/or add labels when necessary.
Switch icons for simpler ones.

Attached are two proposed solutions to the issue. I mocked them up on LucidCharts so they are not intended to be design ideas. If there's interest in making these changes, I could look or make new icons.
