Fields (specifically text format in my case) that are set to be hidden appear on node forms displayed in another node using https://drupal.org/project/inline_entity_form
I suspect its possible this could be a bug with inline_entity_form not doing something that a normal node form would do, but I figured I would start here since the issue relates specifically to this module.
