Support for adding a relationship using Host Entity Id Without needing to reference any Field Collection Field

For a view created using Field Collection Item, in the fields section of the view the Host EntityId of the Field collection Item(Any) can be selected. However, when one wants to add a relationship using Host Entity Id, the Views currently asks for a field collection item for reference as the starting point.

The issue I am facing is that, I want to filter data via Group Selection for both Field Collection Fields that have few similar fields in them but both the Field Collections belonging to different nodes that are associated with a Group(OG) . I would want to display all data that belongs to these 2 field collection using similar fields that they share.

If there is a way out please do let me know. I do have some Drupal and PHP knowledge and would be glad to help. I do need some direction to get started :)
