handling large file

i have a file with over 8mil rows (~230k items)

i can get results if i test with 1 entry in a separate file, but get "no data" when run from url, and an ajaxhttp request error 4 when run from views preview...is it that the file is just too big? i though xpath could just query what is needs (im only returning 5 rows)
