Custom checkbox - conditional field does not display

Hello everyone! Im working on a site where users can add new add type nodes through a form of select, text and checkbox inputs. To make everything look attracting i hid and replaced the default browsers checkboxes with my own style using jquery and some css, however im now having problems with conditional field display, since it only displays the conditional field, if user clicks directly on the option text label but not when they click on the checkbox square itself, eventhough the checkbox square gets marked as checked and remembers its value on submit.

Here's an image displaying what i mean in 1000 words, i hope u dont mind the option language is not in english.

I tried searching thru conditional fields module and js files but couldnt find any place to add the custom class of the checkbox or anything connected to it, probablly because im new to the world of jquery and drupal, therefore all help is welcomed, thank you!

    I think this is an issue with your custom code. You have to make shure that fields you want to be corectly handled by Conditional fields are of any supported core field type or you have to make them adaptable for CF with an addition to the code so that your field supports CF.

    Apart from that there is work in progress for a code based interface to add custom fields to CF supported but for newer versions of this project. Not sure if a backport still makes sense for Drupal 7.

    Apart from that: Thanks for the report and all the efforts in here. But due to inactivity in this issue for some years and because of the upcoming EOL of Drupal 7, I will close this issue on the way by cleaning up the issue queue.

    Feel free to re-open as "Needs review" if you found a solution or have a patch to be reported to help others on this outdated version.

    If you think this issue or missing feature should be addressed in a newer Drupal core 8 and above compatible version of this project, then please file a new issue to the latest dev.
