Module doesn't appear to use the latest custom field order settings

My steps:

• Created a new list in CM
• Added some custom fields to the list
• Created a block for the list on my site
• Realized I'd forgotten two fields
• Added the fields to the list
• Reordered the fields in CM
• Included the fields in my block

Expected:

• The block should respect the custom field sort order

Actual:

• The block doesn't (seem to) respect the custom field sort order
