Hi,
thanks for this wonderful module!

thanks!

Is this possible for Drupal 8 and/or above?

To me, this seems a highly desirable feature. An interface with a moderate or large number of markers, but no visible labels, is a hunt & seek interface where orienting information is not immediately available and requires user interaction and undue effort-- and this likely creates user confusion "where do I start" and interaction attrition in many situations.

    Thanks!

it looks that what you ask accomplishable throughout Leaflet tooltip feature (https://leafletjs.com/reference.html#tooltip)
that is properly supported since Drupal Leaflet 10.x

and that the Leaflet Demo page clearly demonstrate:
    https://www.geodemocracy.com/drupal_geofield_stack_demo/web/geoplaces-ma...

It should be pretty easy to find your way in Leaflet Formatter and View Display settings.
