I know there is an issue for this one already for Drupal 6 #698588: Integration with Subscriptions, Advanced Forum, and User Activity → but it also has stuff in there for other modules as well...
I think we should split the functionality of each module out into separate tickets... With that in mind, here is an issue for advanced forum.
