Could you please clarify a bit further on what you wanting to be able to do, maybe with some rough code examples?
Please enable programmer to alias an existing menu router item, so that it can be placed in a different manner in various places.
Let's say that Drupal has a menu item `/node/add/[content-type]`. And I want to reference it:
- on a custom dashboard as MENU_LOCAL_ACTION, and
- on any node of type [content-type] as MANU_LOCAL_TASK tab.
All without creating a new item, just a pointer.
