I know that there are a tremendous number of alternatives and the purpose of the Custom permission option is to allow this flexibility without adding a new option but I find myself needing one option over and over again, which is Admin Only access (Admin can edit, Admin can see). The reason being that I need to add an admin-only field to the entity.
1. If this makes sense, I would be happy to work with the maintainers in providing this option.
2. The image on the page shows that when you click on the Custom option, the field permissions drop down. On the version I am using (beta2), this does not happen and I need to go to the (endless) Permissions page to administer this field. Is this a new interface in the dev version?
